Super Eagles Held To A Stalemate By DR Congo

DR Congo came from behind to force a stalemate against Nigeria in an international friendly played on Monday.

William Troost-Ekong’s early goal was cancelled by Bampunga Paau in the final 15 minutes to end the tie 1-1.

The bad pitch at the Adokie Amesiemaka stadium in Port Harcourt did not help matters as both teams struggled to hold the ball.

However, Nigeria took the lead in the 14th minute when defender William Troost-Ekong took advantage of an opportunity and scored with his left foot, his first national team goal.
