Residents and motorists along Berger inward Mile 2 in Apapa, Lagos Mainland were gripped with fear as a loaded fuel tanker fell in the axis earlier today, Thursday, July 19, 2018.
It was gathered that the tanker fell after losing balance while plying the route which led to onlookers scampering for safety.
The development led to rescue officers and men of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) mobilizing to the scene to handle the situation.
Presently, the tanker has been moved off the road to make way for vehicular passage in the axis.
Similarly, another tanker fell spilling its content along Apapa-Oshodi expressway yesterday, Wednesday, July 18, 2018.
The incidents have led to a call by residents of the axis that the government should find a lasting solution to the influx of tankers and heavy-duty trucks in the axis.
