The official confirmation from Chelsea football as regards their working relationship with Antonio Conte has finally been released by the London club.
The Blues on Friday morning released an official statement; confirming that they have indeed parted ways with Conte as widely reported across the world Thursday
The statement from Chelsea on Friday read: “Chelsea Football Club and Antonio Conte have parted company.
“During Antonio’s time at the club, we won our sixth league title and eighth FA Cup. In the title winning season, the club set a then-record 30 wins in a 38-game Premier League season, as well as a club-record 13 consecutive league victories.
“We wish Antonio every success in his future career.”
It is an open secret that Chelsea are close to finalising a deal for Maurizio Sarri to replace Antonio Conte after Napoli’s president Aurelio De Laurentiis announced on Wednesday that the 59-year old manager is close to being new Chelsea manager.
